Armageddon

WWE Armageddon est un ancien pay-per-view de la WWE qui fut produit entre 1999 et 2008. Durant ces dernières années, ce show s'est déroulé vers la fin de l'année civile, plus précisément pendant le mois de décembre. Il y a eu au total 9 éditions au lieu de 10, car le show fut remplacé par WWE Vengeance en 2001 à cause des Attentats du 11 septembre 2001. Le pay per view rassemblait autrefois les shows RAW et SmackDown avant d'être exclusif à la division de RAW en 2003. Mais en 2004, la WWE décide de changer la division du show, c'est ainsi que WWE Armageddon est devenu un pay per view pour le show WWE SmackDown jusqu'en 2007 où le pay per view est devenu comme tout les autres pay per views, un show rassemblant toutes les divisions de la WWE.

La première édition, en 1999 s'est déroulé le 12 décembre 1999 à Sunrise en Floride dans le National Car Rental Center avec The Undertaker sur l'affiche promotionnelle du pay per view, le show a attiré plus de 17 000 personnes, suffisant pour que la WWE continue de programmer cet évènement encore des années, jusqu'en 2008 où le show avait attiré 12 500 spectateurs, soit environ 26% de moins par rapport à la première édition.
